This Thursday, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association is set to announce its Golden Globe nominations for the best in film and TV of 2018. As the first big televised award of the season, this will be a major indicator of what we might expect from the Oscars, and will indeed be helpful in such an unpredictable year.
